As you all know by now, I LOVE easy recipes!

Disney’s FROZEN Bark
This easy, kid-friendly Frozen-themed bark is a quick and fun treat inspired by the colors of the movie. It uses simple pantry ingredients and little hands can help with stirring, adding color, and sprinkling decorations. The result is a creamy, sweet bark with bright blue accents that’s perfect for parties, movie nights, or an imaginative snack.
Ingredients
- 1 bag white chocolate chips (about 10–12 oz)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 4–5 drops blue food coloring, or until you reach desired color
- Blue sprinkles for decoration
- Waxed paper or parchment paper, for lining the pan
Yield & Time
Makes about 12–16 small squares depending on how you cut it. Active prep time is about 10 minutes, plus chilling time of 20–30 minutes.
Instructions
- Prepare a small baking pan or sheet by lining it with waxed paper or parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt the white chocolate chips. You can use a double boiler for gentle, even heating: place a heatproof bowl over gently simmering water, add the chips, and stir until smooth. Alternatively, melt in short intervals in the microwave (15–20 seconds), stirring between bursts to avoid overheating.
- Once the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, remove the bowl from heat. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is homogeneous and glossy.
- Add 4–5 drops of blue food coloring and stir until the color is evenly distributed. Add more drops if you prefer a deeper blue. If you want marbled effects, reserve a tablespoon of white chocolate and add a drop of food coloring only to that portion before swirling.
- Pour the colored chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer using a spatula.
- Sprinkle blue sprinkles (or any other decorative edible accents) evenly over the top while the chocolate is still soft.
- Refrigerate the pan until the bark is fully set, about 20–30 minutes depending on thickness.
- Remove from the refrigerator, lift the parchment from the pan, and cut into squares or break into irregular pieces. Serve immediately or store as directed below.
Tips for Success
- Do not overheat the white chocolate. Overheating can make it grainy. Melt slowly and stir frequently.
- If using the microwave, stop and stir often. Residual heat will finish melting the chips without burning them.
- For a marbled look, pour some plain white chocolate and some colored chocolate in alternating spots and swirl gently with a toothpick.
- Use gel food coloring for more vibrant hues; it will color the chocolate without adding extra liquid.
- If children are helping, handle the melting and hot bowls yourself and let them do the stirring, coloring, and sprinkling.
Variations
To adapt this recipe, try mixing in small candy bits, edible glitter, or freeze-dried fruit powder for flavor and texture. You can also drizzle melted dark or milk chocolate over the set white chocolate for contrast, or add flavor extracts (vanilla or almond) sparingly to the melted chocolate for extra depth.
Storage
Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week in a cool, dry place. If your kitchen is warm or humid, store it in the refrigerator to prevent softening; allow the pieces to come to room temperature briefly before serving for best texture.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the Frozen bark alongside simple cookies, fresh fruit, or a warm drink for a themed snack platter. It’s great as a party favor—place a few pieces in a small cellophane bag for guests to take home.
Kid-Friendly Notes
This recipe is designed to be simple and safe for children to join in. Assign age-appropriate tasks: stirring cooled melted chocolate, adding food coloring drops, and sprinkling decorations. Keep hot bowls and the stove or microwave in adult hands only.
Enjoy making this colorful and playful Frozen-inspired bark with your family. It’s quick to prepare, visually appealing, and a sweet treat everyone can enjoy.
